Dude! J lau is looking tip top shape in my opinion. Has the murderous ground and pound to go with his refined jiu jitsu instincts. stand up and confidence in the pocket is much improved. Presses alot of action.
I expect him to go in and dominate
HOWEVER!
We haven't seen kenny fight in awhile, and the last time he commentated the light weight division I sensed a lot more confidence and clarity in Kenny Florian. He's been known to dramatically improve as fights rack up, but it has been a while so we don't know where he's at on the radar.
muay thai is pretty good - will finish fights with it
jiu jitsu - while i feel it's a little over rated, it's there and presents a threat
most importantly is experience. Kennys had more big fights, and has a sense of maturity and growth about him this year. When you change like that as a person, naturally so will your game, and usually for the better. Look at the guy that this site is dedicated to.
1 year guys, keep that in mind. that's nothing. and it's been awhile since I've had an honest eval on Kennys game.
I don't count him out, but I do have faith in Joe and his upbringing. He'll smash.
