WSOF Adds Tyrone Spong-Travis Bartlett to Televised Portion of their November 3rd Card
Kickboxing legend Tyrone Spong was recently a guest on BJPenn.Com Radio and told hosts Mitch Ciccarelli and myself that he was more than prepared to make his MMA debut for the World Series of Fighting on November 3rd against Travis Bartlett.
Today WSOF announced that Spong’s fight will be added to the televised portion of the card which will air on the NBC Network, formerly known as The Versus Network. Spong has been training with The Blackzilians and teammate Anthony Johnson told the show on Sunday that he expects Spong to achieve great success in MMA.
The main event features a heavyweight clash between former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski and former Strikeforce competitor Devin Cole. Johnson will fight for the third time as a light heavyweight when he takes on D.J. Linderman in the co-main event.
Former WEC Bantamweight Champion Miguel Torres faces Marlon Moraes, Gregor Gracie will battle Tyson Steele to round out the televised portion of the inaugural WSOF card. The event will be held at The Joint in The Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
