WSOF 3 Salary Report: Fitch/Burkman Top Payroll
Is there money to be made outside the UFC for UFC vets who still want to fight?
Last Friday The World Series Of Fighting returned with their third event headlined by Jon Fitch vs. Josh Burkman at the HArd Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
A modest $200,000 payroll was turned in by the promotion for all fighters on the card.
Evening headliners Jon Fitch and Josh Burkman took home the lions share of that figure but it was Burkman who, with his first round submission over Fitch, received the largest pay-day on the night.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission released the salary figures for the event and the four UFC veterans who participated on the evenings card, didn’t do too bad considering they ore out of the ZUFFA fold.
