World Series of Fighting 4 Injuries and Medical Suspensions

The California State Athletic Commission has released the list of fighters who will be suffering medical suspensions after competing on WSOF 4 “Spong vs. DeAnda”. The card took place this past Saturday on August 10th and saw several fighters take a decent beating.

As a result of all the punishment, six fighters have been suspended for 180 days. These lengthy suspensions are more of a precautionary measure as they can return to action once they get the go-ahead from a doctor.

Brandon Hempleman: Suspended 60 days (60 days no contact) following a forehead laceration.
Ray Sefo: Suspended 45 days (30 days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Gesias Cavalcante: Suspended 180 days (180 days no contact) following knee injury.
Tyson Griffin: Suspended 180 days (180 days no contact) following neck injury.
Gerald Harris: Suspended 180 days (180 days no contact) following possible hand fracture.
Lewis Gonzalez: Suspended 60 days (60 days no contact) following eyelid laceration.
Antonio McKee: Suspended 180 days (180 days no contact) following vision loss (right eye).
