White Takes Jab At Bellator’s Failed Attempt At A Pay-per-view Card
Dana White is never one to play nice with a rival promotion, so his recent words regarding Bellator 106’s switch from a pay-per-view event to a free show might come as a surprise for some.
“It’s unfortunate,” White told the media at the post-event press conference for UFC Fight Night 30. “It breaks my heart. Couldn’t happen to a better bunch of guys.”
Most likely, White was saying this with a touch of sarcasm. He has been a frequent critic of Bellator, who, due to a neck injury suffered by UFC hall of famer Tito Ortiz, were forced to put their aspirations for Pay-Per-View on hold. In the past, he has chided Bellator for several things, particularly their recent handling of the Ben Askren and Eddie Alvarez contract negotiations.
