Wanderlei Silva predicts A KO Victory Tomorrow Night | UFC NEWS

Fighters make predictions all the time. They try to channel Nostradamus and predict KOs and submissions of their upcoming opponent. Most are wrong, but every now and then they are right and one fighter that is right more often than not; Wanderlei Silva.
Silva (34-12-1, 1 NC) is scheduled to meet Brian Stann (12-5) at the upcoming UFC on FUEL TV 8 event. And confidence is brewing in the grizzled veteran who will fight for the 49th time in his long and illustrious career. “I’m ready for the fight. I’ve trained well to finish the job, and I promise to knock him out in the third round,” said Silva during the event’s pre-fight press conference.
If Silva is to make good on his prediction he would be the first fighter to KO Stann. Coming through with the KO will also possibly stave off the heated up retirement talk for the veteran who made his name fighting under the Pride FC banner. It’s hard to doubt the hard-hitting striker, when you take into account that 24 of his 34 wins have come by way of KO.
That means that 63% of his fights end with him knocking his opponent out. A staggering number when you compare it to Anderson Silva’s 54% rate.
Stann will be looking to right the ship after losing his last fight to Michael Bisping at UFC 152 by Unanimous Decision. To take this fight he had to move up a weight class from Middleweight to Light Heavyweight. He has no plans to stay at Light Heavyweight. “I’m a middleweight. I could compete at light heavyweight, but if I want to be top ten and compete for the title, it needs to be at middleweight,” said Stann.
The two will match up in Silva’s old stomping ground while he fought in Pride FC, and built his legacy. UFC on FUEL TV 8 is scheduled to take place on March 2nd at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

I predict a K.O as well, but it will be K.O of glass jaw Wandy, time to retire Wandy, there’s nothing else to prove
Shouldnt make promises you cant keep Wandy…. Love you bud, been watching you since late 2000, youve battled the best, was doing MMA when it was the ultimate caveman sport with fighters unmatched even today. I hope he doesnt end up like Ali from all the hits he’s taken, no joke, I dont wanna see that happen to one of my child hood heroes.
hopefully he wins & announces his retirement tomorrow in japan, perfect way to end his career.. he probably wont tho lol
He always predicts a KO and it never happens. Hang it up dude, you can not hang with these studs today. This isn’t Pride anymore.
Never happens dick head ….Cung le, Bitchping saved by the bell, Franklin on his ass, Jardine. What the **** are you talking about you rookie? Shut the hell up
Silva always predicts a KO, because he is like a broken record and it is the only way he knows how to hype his fights. This is his one and only way to promote his fights…Unfortunately, unless he gets lucky and catches Stann, It seems like a high probability of Silva being on the KO end of Stann’s fist’s, but it depends on Stann’s stamina and power at 205. But yah, I predict Silva goes to sleep in Tokyo!!!
None of your predictions work out anyway you ****ed up fool.
so by the author saying stann has never been KO, is he not counting the TKO by cantwell? Pretty sure that still counts so that statement is null. predictions are stupid because nobody knows what will happen and when you go for the KO, you usually get KO yourself. anything can and will happen in a fight
^^^^Nice call Confucious. As it were you are the only one who knew anything about the fight game…good call. As for the rest of you ****ups^^^ Eat shit you were wrong especially BringfitchBack you ****ing rookie. Eat shit……..war Wand!!
Boy all the haters where wrong on this one. Stann got knocked the **** out!
