Volkmann vs. Grant Booked For UFC 141

UFC officials took to twitter today to announce a recently signed lightweight bout set between Jacob Volkmann and T.J. Grant.
UFC 141 is set to take place on Dec. 30 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The end-of-year pay-per-view event will feature a five-round non-title fight between former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and newly signed heavyweight stand-out Alistair Overeem.
While Volkmann made national news for threatening our US president, he has also been on a nice little run of terror inside the UFC Octagon. Jacob is currently riding a four-fight win streak which has seen him best the likes of Rony Torres, Paul Kelly, Antonio McKee and Danny Castillo.
Grant is also a former welterweight turned lightweight. He made is 155 pound debut back at UFC on Versus 6 and submitted Shane Roller in a controversial stoppage. A seven-fight UFC veteran, he has rotated between wins and losses inside the cage.

• Jon Fitch vs. Johny Hendricks
• Alexander Gustafsson vs. Vladimir Matyushenko
• Dong Hyun Kim vs. Sean Pierson
• T.J. Grant vs. Jacob Volkmann
