Virgil Zwicker Meets Guto Inocente At “Strikeforce: Heavyweight Grand Prix Final”

Strikeforce officials have announced a light-heavyweight bout between Virgil Zwicker and Guto Inocente set for next month’s show in San Jose, California.
Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker announced the bout yesterday evening on his official twitter account.
The “Strikeforce: Heavyweight Grand Prix Final” is set to feature the heavyweight tournament final between Josh Barnett and Daniel Cormier as well as a lightweight title bout between Gilbert Melendez and Josh Thomson. The show, which will air live on Showtime, is set to go down on May 19 from San Jose’s HP Pavilion.
Zwicker has been on the shelf for a year. The former heavyweight made his debut against Lavar Johnson and suffered a loss in the process. However, he bounced back at “Strikeforce Diaz vs. Daley” when he was able to secure a TKO victory in the first round against Brett Albee.
Inocente is a top prospect who will look to gain some momentum in his 7-year pro career. Having not been the most active of fighters, this Strikeforce signee originally joined the Strikeforce roster of fighters last year, but has yet to make his debut. He is 5-0 in his professional Mixed Martial Arts career.
