VIDEO | Waiting for UFC 205 Title, but Still Wants Anderson Silva

Dan Henderson is slated to face the winner of the fight UFC 145 title bout between Jon Jones and Rashad Evans. Should the winner be out of action for a while, Hendo isn’t prepared to continue sitting on the sidelines. But if he does have to take a fight at 185 pounds, the only fight he wants is UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.

If Dan loses to Jones, I bet he’d have to put a win streak together to fight Silva.

    • slacker says:

Yeah, I don’t think he deserves back to back title shots In LW then MW. As much as I like him, he was already given that opportunity against Rampage, then Silva. If he loses the LW fight, he should re – match Shields at MW IMO. Bad loss. He should redeem it.

      • Yeas says:

Just to clarify something. He wasn’t GIVEN an opportunity before, he DESERVED it. He wasn’t given a title fight, there was a need to unify the Pride and UFC titles into a single title after the merger in those divisions. He got to fight both champions because he was champion of both divisions at the same time.

That being said, I think Dan Henderson has the sales appeal and respect of most people in the sport to really position himself for any fight he really wanted.

That match still perplexes me. It was boring too LOL. I have no idea how he lost.

Does anyone think that Jake Sheilds can go 5 rds with Shogun or defeat Fedor? I don’t.

Fuck henderson fucking trt using chump

  3. Jpeech says:

    Ruben you are dumb

  4. Hjortur Halldorsson says:

I would love to see my favorite fighter KO Anderson Silva, but I have a feeling that he’s going to quit after the Sonnen fight. Does anybody know how many fights Anderson has left on his contract?

  5. ya herd says:

theres more emotion in a grape than dan henderson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. A.James says:

    TRT champion of the world

  7. Jujitsu Player says:

If he loses against the winner of Jones v Rashad (IMO Jones easily wins this) he deserves the shot because Jones has taken out all the other top guys at 205. But if he loses this he can’t expect to get a shot at Silva just because he’s old. He should at least have to face 1 or 2 of the top contenders first.

IMO Bisping should be next in line for a shot a the winner of Silva v Sonnen on the basis that he was robbed…

    • Mat says:

Bisping is growing on me. I do think he’s next in line at 185, especially if he has one more fight before the title. I was impressed with his performance against Chael, but no way he was robbed. Go watch it again, knowing what happens and without expecting to see Chael dominate, which we all expected the first time. You’ll see that Chael won that fight. It was close, kind of, and Bisping did way better than I expected, but there is no way that fight should have been scored for Bisping. Chael won, Bisping is damn talented and may do better in a rematch. I say give Bisping winner of Silva Sonnen 2, but not because he got robbed.
