7 Comments to VIDEO | UFC 154: Johny Hendricks: GSP ‘Hasn’t Faced Anybody Like Me’

  1. donnie v. says:

Give Hendricks a title shot. He deserves it. GSP is at the top of his game right now, so it Johnny. People will pay money for this fight. I definitely will if this happens in early 2013 while both fighters are at the top of their game. Quit making fights that should happen now happen 2 years from now when no one wants to see it anymore.

  2. 123 says:

martin kampmann should of got a title fight without having to fight johny hendricks, if martin kampmann or michael bisping was american they would get their title shots, when michael bisping beats vitor belfort he defiantly deserves a title shot, i thought martin kampmann already earned his.. in my opinion.

    • John says:

This is one of the dumbest comments I’ve ever read! Michael bisping has a better chance of getting pregnant when Dan Hardy is ****in in the ass then beating Anderson Silva

  3. Confucius says:

has serious one punch knock out power but you cant possibly think thats enough to compete with GSP.

  4. Xaninho says:

That punch was a jump-up-out-of-seat moment. Hendricks just knocked out two of the toughest chins in the 170 in a row, both with one punch!

  5. pthance says:

While I totally agree that Hendricks deserves a title shot, and I think it should come before the superfight (which I don’t think will happen anyway), I really wonder why people think he is going to drop GSP so easily. Lets think about some of the people who St. Pierre has defeated and how their skill level compares to J. Hendricks:

Matt Hughes, Sean Sherk, and John Fitch: All are arguably better wrestlers than Hendricks all of which have been nullified by GSP.

Thiago Alves, Josh Koscheck, Dan Hardy, Carlos Condit, and BJ Penn: All of these guys have shown VERY strong KO power and accurate striking in the WW division. All of whom have been outclassed in the Octagon by GSP.

Matt Serra, BJ Penn, Jake Shields, and Carlos Condit: Crazy good Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for all these guys, and again all of their skills were nullified against GSP.

I’m not saying Johnny Hendricks has no chance, he obviously does and anything can happen when the cage doors close. But lets be honest here. Can Hendricks really compete on the level that these athletes have in their strengths against GSP? I just see this fight going down as a win for St. Pierre. He outclasses and outsmarts his opponents when he fights them. It’s like I always say, Georges St. Pierre isn’t the strongest or fastest fighter in the world, but hes the most dedicated. He trains harder and smarter than anyone else in the business, and he comes in with the best game plans and executes them perfectly. He is pound for pound the best because of his mentality, and the way he treats the sport and his opponents.

  6. AJ says:

Yeah, I mean, GSP has only defeated Matt Hughes twice, BJ Penn twice, Sean Sherk, Karo, Mayhem, Thiago Alves, Matt Serra and so on…but yeah Johny, he has NEVER faced anyone like you, lol!
