This wasn’t a title fight so it’s unfair to compare the instances where a fighters vision was in question. Leben would have had very little to gain from staying in the fray with Munoz. Another win possibly, but most likely not based on round one. Either way it goes, the doctor would have stopped it just like in boxing. It’s unfair to call him a quitter when he’s getting pounded into the mat. Leben knew he couldn’t continue. I guess we should call Shogun a quitter too because he got destroyed by Jon Jones.

Very disappointed with Leben, he didnt look like himself. I heard he made a massive weight cut just before the fight and it showed. He looked very sluggish against a guy he should have walked through. He needs to look at his camp/team and preparation because seems like those guys let him down.I don’t consider him a quitter, it was a bad cut and it got stopped, period.

I suppose your one on the band wagon saying he should have a title shot and he’s now the top contender…..IMO Leben should have benn able to put him away. Hammill made light work of him and he didn’t look special against Okami either….I think Munoz is average in his wieght class but he’s got to climb up a place or two after this fight. Give him his dues. Like I said though Leben looked rough.
I highly doubt Leben could of walked through Munoz. Munoz wrestling is superior to most in the octagon, his ground and pound is on point. How do you walk through someone you can’t get off you and is smashing your face at the same time? Got to give more credit to Munoz. If he continues to improve his skills in no time he will be in the top tier of his weight class.

i think he was just way to gassed. some say he made a huge weight cut. because leben seems like one of those guys who if they cant see out of one eye they would say they have two.
Munoz looked good and in great shape, the best ever… Leben was gassed in the second. Eye injury or not he was not in shape to go 5. I did expect more from Leben.
I think Leben did the right thing, if he cant see he cant see and with Munoz as an opponent he would of harmed his eye even more. No fight is worth the possible loss of an eye that is for sure.

hard luck chris leben,it had to be pretty bad for the corner to stop the fight,not worth risking an eye for one fight which could of proved to be a career ender had he gone on,but 10/10 for sum of the shots he took,he’s got a concrete chin like,but he seemed gassed out too,mind they did go at it from the start but better luck next time
