totally agree, GSP Silva was the fight everybody wanted to see before the rise of JBJ, Jones is a different generation then silva and GSP,lets see the two legends duke it out and after SIlva wins, JBJ can be his greatest and final test if he feels like taking it on, if not then god bless him still

I actually ran out of things to say about this topic cause they always put up forums about this fight.As a fight fan I would love to see it,but it’s not FU*KING happening.Give it up already.
Fight of the century. I believe it would go down to who can win standing because lets be honest Anderson is the best fighter ever and part of thar is because he knows how to get out of sticky situations and GSP is great on his back too. So it will be a brawl.

The one thing that i find interesting is the timing of all this talk from silva’s camp in regards to fighting GSP. They have never been this vocal about this super fight before,, and now GSP is returning from almost 2 years on the bench injured. They want this this fight now because they obviously think its their best chance to beat him, despite the fact that GSP is brilliant and that he is always in great shape i firmly believe there is going to be ring rust,,,, there is no substitute for being an active fighter.

Really? What people are arguing whether silva or gsp is the best pound for pound? Maybe 2-3 years ago. He wants gsp because he knows he will win with minimal damage and take home a big paycheck. Weak!!!

I think not, he is one of the biggest at LHW and now he’s fighting 185ers that Silva already stomped on(Vitor Chael). You all looove Jon Jones, but recognize he has some pillow punches just like Chael, his most effective strike is that kick to the knee. smh…Its like everyone on this site became a UFC fan last year.

Sorry, but you are wrong. Jones has fought and finished the whos who in LHW. He didn’t want ot fight Sonnen, didn’t think he deserved a title shot and everyone bashed him for not taking the fight. I like GSP, one of my favorite fighters, but Silva will destroy him, thats why Silva wants this fight! Great pay day and easy fight. Silva has fought at LHW plenty of times and has done great! Only makes sense to for Bones! Or if that can’t happen Rashad has offered to drop to 185 to fight Silva, make that happen!! Both of those fights is better for the fans as far as it could go either way then GSP. Unfair fight for GSP!!
Not sure Anderson is scared, but he must know that is a fight he could lose so he’s going for the easier fight. Personally, I’d like to see GSP vs Diaz and I hope GSP asks for that fight and doesn’t get sucked into a fight with Anderson… Whats Anderson gonna do when and if Rashad drops down to 185? Not that Rashad is on the same level as Jones, but he would be the toughest most deserving of a shot at the title! Is Silva gonna try and turn down that too? And if they do fight and he destroys Rashad, how can he not go for the LHW title other than he doesnt want to lose?
GSP will be at a hugh size disadvantage but a crazy style advantage. Also GSP is the most game plan savvy fighter ever. Still with silva it’s 1 punch and he is stupid accurate I think the size is too big an obstacle in the end. Not that I think the spider is better quite contrary I think GSP is the best but no one is good enough to avoid that kind of disadvantage for 5 rounds.
