VIDEO | Ronda Rousey’s Former Coach & Teammate Show How To Defend Her Armbar
Apparently current UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has burnt some bridges. Her former judo coach and four-time Olympian Jimmy Pedro released a video showing how to defend Rousey’s signature armbar.
Also in the video is Rousey’s former teammate and Olympian Travis Stevens. The story is not clear, and the reasons have not been discussed, but it seems that when Rousey left judo to begin competing in MMA, she made a few enemies.
Stevens not only released this video, but shared his support for Rousey’s opponent Miesha Tate via twitter:
Hoping for Chris and Tate to take wins and titles home tonight lets do this!!!!!!

UFC lightweight Joe Lauzon is a friend of Stevens, and although he didn’t further explain what the beef is about, he did confirm that Rousey and Stevens are not on good terms.
“I know Travis very well. He is not one to mince words and is no fan of Ronda. They lived together at the judo house at Jimmy Pedro’s and I don’t think Ronda left on the best of terms,” Lauzon posted on MixedMartialArts.com.
The video shows how to defend Rousey’s armbar and also shows an escape that puts the defender in an advantageous position.
