VIDEO | Pacquiao Coach, Freddie Roach Gets Kicked During Brawl With Rios Coaches

Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach asked Rios trainer Robert Garcia to end Rios’ workout at 11 a.m. Macau time. Rios was scheduled to work out from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., but started late because he had done interviews. Garcia asked for a few minutes. Pacquiao was slated to work out from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Roach called Garcia “a piece of [expletive],” which prompted the escalation of the incident. Rios conditioning coach Alex Ariza, who was fired by Roach as Pacquiao’s strength and conditioning coach, told Roach to “get the [expletive] out of the gym.” Roach responded by saying, “Make me get out.”

Ariza mocked Roach’s Parkinson’s disease several times. At one point, Ariza took a step forward and kicked Roach in the chest. As chaos broke out, Ariza said to Roach, “You’re a [expletive] joke,” and then used a gay slur.

Roach referred to Rios camp assistant Donald Leary as a “Mexican [expletive],” which prompted Leary to swing at Roach. A Venetian security guard struggled but managed to control Leary.

If you want to use your booked time to to interviews thats fine, but it doesn’t magically push back your booked time because you decided to other shit instead, when your times up the times fucken up.

  2. drew says:

My dad has Parkinson’s disease and to stoop so low with those antics? Lucky I didn’t hear you!!! I would have used your head as a football! Dbag…

  4. The Way Of The Dutchman says:

11am is 11am, why doesn’t security kick out the team that has to leave at 11am?
Why was that fat ugly little dwarf trying to fight Roach anyway? What does it prove if you can kick a guy with Parkinson’s?

Unbelievable. I couldn’t imagine having anything to do with a training camp and assaulting someone. A prime example of someone saying an insult that is directed at the weakest spot in someone, and then they can be labeled racist. You can’t tell me Freddie’s a racist. This should be viewed as someone that was desperate to return fire. I believe most people that can seem racist are just desperate for an insult that stings.
All people need to stand proud enough to take the sting out of racial insults.

  6. KIDD433 says:

I’m Mexican, and I’m not offended. Freddie Roach has done a lot for boxing and boxers that happen to be Mexican. That other coach was out of line, and hit Freddie Roach with an insult that was below the belt.
