He actually speaks it nicely and doesn’t have the stupid accent /prouncination people use (especially people who speak english first) simply because they are to lazy to really try to prounce the words in the language. I know that doesn’t mean anything but I was surprised. Lol
But I do wonder what will be the defense at the hearing. Since no clues have been dropped or spoken of that I can find anywhere. He can’t say horse meat or other food since he already went through that and then if it is it just comes down to wtf moron should have learned.
Dutch people are quite capable of learning other languages.
I know never meant to sound like they are dumb. I mean it’s a good thing he takes the effort on trying to sound fluent. I like smart fighters outside of the ring. I was agreeing with you. I’m Dutch myself and know Dutch people take the extra effort to actually try and pronounce it the way it should be pronounced.
English comes in different dialects and expressions so what may sound correct to you may sound incorrect to someone else. Therefore I wouldn’t call it laziness. It’s just how one is taught to speak the language.
Outside of that, based on Overeem’s background I would think enlish is his first language.
Reem bagged that reporter for sure, trying to speak their language works 99% of the time. Hope he has a well thought out plan for the NSAC, HW division needs a super star like him, too many blan fighters right now..

And let’s be honest the half ass Spanish spoken by most people who took some Spanish classes sound like shit and robotish. You know instead of letting it flow off of the tongue. Same as if you learned a different language and spoke it nicely, if you talked to a native they would respect you that much more and it goes from there. Especially in Spanish due to be being a romantic language, (like Italian, French, Portuguese) compared to German Russian, hell even English. Lol.
