The UFC’s welterweight division received a new fresh talent last year in the form of Brazil’s Erick Silva. The explosive, well-rounded fighter made his UFC debut at UFC 134 and has yet to let an opponent get out of the first round of action.
Up next on the rising stars list is Jon Fitch later this month.
“Erick Silva is NASTY!!!”, said UFC president Dana White in a recent twitter post.

I was asking myself the same question. It would be a war but I think I’d have to give it to Silva.
Since day one in the UFC this kid has been incredibly exciting to watch… Definitely looking at becoming a contender if he can keep up his streak.
I’d also not classify him as only having skills in striking as his submissions and take downs aren’t all that shabby either.
Looking forward to seeing this kid smash Fitch’s face wide open
