They are referring in part to the profits of a single entity. In that respect I say yes they can do it. As far as say popularity and total viewers I say soccer would be almost impossible to match. I like the fact that soccer has National Teams that play other such teams around globe. The World Cup is truly a World Championship where the Super Bowl is not. Hope that didn’t sound too stupid.
The NFL IS a big sport in the world: when you consider MONEY. The US is all about money: you, me, WalMart, the guys selling newspapers on the corner. Soccer is the most popular sport in the world, but that’s not what the Fertitas’ and Dana White FIRST priority is. MONEY is the first priority. India and China have the hugest populations in the world, but you don’t hear Dana talking about going to those countries. It’s not about popularity, it’s about MONEY. No shame in that. Nothing wrong with that.

I have really tried to follow soccer but it just never reached me, I must say though those guys have serious cardio.. I can’t stand the No Fun League any more. Commish, Owners, Agents, and Players have finally just sucked the life out of the game.(for me anyway) MMA is the stuff.
