VIDEO | Jose Aldo: ‘Of course I will beat the Korean Zombie’

Any fighter at this level is dangerous. You have to respect them all and train very hard. That is what we have been doing for this fight. Because of that, I think things will go well for this fight.

Maybe people dont give (Jung) the credit he deserves. But the fact he reached this point and is fighting for the belt really means a lot. It means he has to be respected and because of that I will train hard to be ready for him.

I do think he fights very wide open. He leaves a lot of opportunities to be struck, so if that is the way he really wants to fight, then that is the way I want to fight as well.

I have to be ready to take the fight wherever it may go. Whether that’s five rounds or a long fight, or even if it’s a short fight. I have to be ready for anything that may come up.

Of course I will beat the Korean Zombie. I will beat the man.

I have a feeling Zombie might just pull off an upset. He can strike, he can roll, and has some power. But the most dangerous attribute he has is his heart. He’s a tough SOB, with his kind of determination I can’t seem to count him out. Can’t wait for this fight..

but can he go 5 rounds? He always gasses in his fights, b/c of his aggressiveness, and he seems to be a bit of a reckless puncher, and that could be his undoing against a striker like Aldo. I think Aldo will pick him apart if this stays standing. But its MMA, and we all now know anything can happen.. 😉

The Zombie of course has a chance but the leg kicks are gonna choppin him down. I respect him and his ability to move forward but I think Aldo’s speed is gonna make the difference. When it comes to cardio I think Aldo will be extra ready after preparing for Pettis. Aldo is gonna be sharp and his defense is gonna be tight. We’ll know by the first round who’s winning this fight. If Chan progresses as much as he seems to between fights and aclimates even more inside the octagon who knows? The fight they have in common is interesting also. Maybe Chan knocked out Hominick because of his decline after his fight with Aldo or maybe Chan is just that much more lethal. I think Chan needs to keep his hands up and Aldo needs to be resourceful with his arsenal.
