Nate Marquardt is a very well-rounded fighter. I couldn’t tell you somewhere he stands out where he’s weak. He’s a veteran who’s been fighting for a long time. I’ve got to beat him to prove that I’m a contender for this title. Emotions are not going to win fights, action is.
For me, I know I’ve got to be offensive regardless of who I fight. I’ve got to go in there and I’ve got to win. I don’t know if I’m the best welterweight in the world right now but I know I can beat anyone in the world and that’s all I need to know. I know I can beat Nate Marquardt.”

Jake is one of the top….he was on a roll before that lame referee’d fight against kampmann…kampmann took so many shots in the first and they didnt call it…ellenberger eats one or two knees and the fight was stopped…ellenberger is a tough match up for anyone at 170…got heavy hands and a great wrestling game…i was hoping to see him fight hendricks and show everyone that the juggernaut is the real deal at 170
Excellent analysis. Ellenberger was putting the hurt on Martin and was not given time to overcome Kampmann’s comeback.
