VIDEO | GSP Happy For Rousey And Female Fighters But Can’t Bring Himself To Watch Women Fight | UFC NEWS

“It’s good for her,” St-Pierre said about Rousey’s arrival in the UFC. “I’m happy for the girls that fight, but me personally I have a hard time watching the girls fight. It’s the way I grew up maybe, the mentality, I’m different, I’m old school, but I have a hard time watching girls fighting, it’s hard for me.”

  1. KIDD433 says:

    I gotta say I agree with him.I don’t have a problem with WMMA,Il even watch it once in a while,on Bellator or Stikeforce.Il just don’t think they should be in the UFC.I spend alot of money on PPV events and I’ve seen less than exciting cards,And I don’t think putting WMMA in the UFC is gona contribute to solving that, but only make it worse.

  2. Chad says:

    Maybe I’m in the minority here but in general the female fights I’ve seen tend to be more exciting. They go for broke and get pretty vicious out there. Better than watching half the male fighters who more and more often play it safe and dance for points.

  3. Robert says:

    I agree. I believe that women have the right to compete but have a hard time watching it.

  4. rick james bioch says:

    That ok GSP, I have a really hard time watching any of your fights compared to womens MMA and don’t plan on watch you Saturday unless the free PPV fairy shows up at my house on Saturday!

  5. KIDD433 says:

    @Rick James…I gotta say u got a hell of a point homie

  6. yeahrightman says:

    @ RickJames and KIDD433. He’s not saying he doesn’t think the fights are exciting, he’s saying he’s old school and where he comes from, “Ladies” don’t fight. If they want to fight good on them and all, but I’m with George it’s not easy to see girls bleeding and all that. Nuff said.

  7. CombatRusse says:

    Ronda Rousey’s fights are always technical, so I don’t have a problem watching them.
    But I can’t imagine a dog fight featuring women
    I remember a fight with Kim Couture getting her jaw broke , that was ugly to watch.

  8. JohnnyMac says:

    He cannot be serious. Would it be hard for him to see them just take Judo lessons? He doesn’t have a problem with women getting paid I get that happy for her part. He just doesn’t like watch women get hurt. Then what do you call the fight between Rory and Carlito Condit, when Rory spent a lot of time rubbing his face in the Condit’s curlies? Now that’s an unbearable fight to watch.
