Video: Glover Teixeira Says He’ll Bring Fight to Jon Jones & Get That Title
In a recent interview with MMAinterviews.tv, Brazilian Light Heavyweight Glover Teixeira was asked about a potential fight with current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones. His response was very quick and he was very confident as he said he would bring the fight to Jones and get that title.
The whole interview ran a little over 17 minutes and Teixeira discussed the change in opponents for his upcoming fight at UFC 153 against Fabio Maldonado. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson was to be his original opponent, but was forced out of the contest because of an injury. Teixeira said he was a little upset when he first found out because Rampage was a big name, but he understand these things happen.
Check out the rest of the interview as he talks about training, his dominating UFC debut which resulted in a first round submission victory over Kyle Kingsbury at UFC 146. Teixeira has reeled off 16 straight wins and is considered to be one of the best 205lb fighters in the world. Of his 18 wins, 11 have come by knockout and five by submission. Teixiera trains at The Pit with head coach John Hackleman who of course was former UFC light heavyweight champ Chuck Liddell’s longtime coach.

Shit at least he’s a 205er. But on the real he’s fought absolutely no one of relevance including 0-2 Maldonaldo. But UFC LHW divisions “big names” been buzz sawed so might as well bring on the no bodies.. Haha
