Ever heard of the “teepee” submission?

Take a look at this video as Hex Fight Series is claiming the first teepee submission in MMA history was pulled off by Suman Mokhtarian at Hex Fight Series 9 on Friday.

Mokhtarian sets up the teepee submission after getting the triangle choke position. As Mokhtarian opponent attempts to fight off the triangle, Mokhtarian transitions to the teepee submission, extending his legs as they are still crossed and locks his hands together below his legs, bringing his everything in tighter for the choke.

Mokhtarian ends up getting his opponent off base as they fall to their side. The opponent tries to briefly punch his way out and eventually taps out, bringing the fight to an end.
