Back in 2007, accomplished kickboxer turned MMA fighter Melvin Manhoef stepped into the ring against Japanese boxing champion Yosuke Nishijima for what served as Nishijima’s 5th professional MMA fight.

The fight was an extremely lopsided one in Manhoef’s favor, as he not only landed a flurry of punches on Nishijima, but ultimately picked up a dominant TKO win after landing numerous ground & pound shots.

Manhoef of course is still currently competing for Bellator MMA, most recently dropping a KO loss to Rafael Carvalho at Bellator 176 in April, which put him on a 2-fight losing streak.
