VIDEO | Brutal head-butt TKO from fight in Japan

By bjpenndotcom - June 16, 2017

While the head-butt was popularized in the early days of MMA by fighter such as Mark Kerr and Mark Coleman, the move was quickly banned from MMA in the 90s. With that being said, accidental headbutts are still rather common in MMA, and usually result in a cut being opened up on a fighter.

In this fight from Lethwei fight promotions in Japan, we can see There-The Ta Pwint from Myanmar TKO Japan’s Hikaru Hasumi with a brutal headbutt in the third round that sends Hasumi falling out of the ring.

Fortunately the referee manages to grab him and pull him back into the ring before he suffered a likely-brutal fall from the canvas to the arena floor.
