Every once in a while, fans will have the opportunity to meet their favorite fighters. What the interactions occur, sometimes fans default to the same questions for their favorite fighter, such as ‘How is your weight cut going?’
While these types of questions likely are a bit rhetorical for fighters, and get a bit annoying, every once in awhile fans make a surprising request, such as asking if their favorite fighter can hit them, as was the case when Nick Diaz met a fan at a Jiu-Jitsu tournament, and when Carla Esparza was asked to hit a fan at a bar.
In this new video starring UFC Hall of Famer Bas Rutten, ‘El Guapo’ explains what NOT to say to an MMA fighter when you meet them. In addition, Rutten explains what not to do when meeting your favorite fighter, such as scaring them after approaching them unannounced.
