There is always an irresistible interest when you see a fight with a big mismatch in size, which is what made a lot of the fights back in the day so intriguing.

Here, we take a look at MMA legend Igor Vovchanchyn taking on Paul Varelans at IFC 1, which took place way back in 1996. This was the second of three fights in one night for Vovchanchyn as he ended up beating three opponents much bigger than him in the tournament. In fact, two of Vovchanchyn’s opponents on that night weighed over 300 pounds.

Being outsized by his opponents, Vovchanchyn showed his superior skill and heart and finishing all three of the bigger men.

“Ice Cold” Igor last fought in 2005 ending his lengthy career with an impressive 55-10-1 professional MMA record.
