VIDEO | Frankie Edgar Admits He Can Make Bantamweight If He Wanted To | UFC NEWS

Former UFC lightweight champion, Frankie Edgar, has long been thought of as too small for the UFC’s 155 pound division. However, it’s been hard to argue that fact when the man was holding gold around his waist.
Now, after going just 1-2-1 in his last four outings, the former champion is set to embark on his first divisional drop against Jose Aldo for the UFC’s 145 pound title.
In an interesting interview with our boys over at middleeasy.com, “The Answer” says he can actually do one better and make 135 pounds if he really wanted to.

He would dominate Dominick Cruz or ne1 n that division.
All day he would
He might have to go to Bantam when Aldo stomps that ass
Edgar is that dude! Love em or hate em the kid comes to fight every time and is tough as they come.
I could see Frankie owning both the FW & BW belts… yes I believe FE can beat Aldo.
I’m with you on both probabilities bro Frankie’s a stud!
Edgar can hold belts from bantam to light simultaneously if he wanted to. He needs to snatch up multiple belts and get the respect that he deserves. Edgar = best p4p
First of all Aldo is going to get schooled. He has never fought anyone even close to FE. Don’t even give me Homenick, Mendes or even Faber. FE will no doubt beat Aldo. Better Hands, better boxing, better wrestling, and definitely better cardio . FE has that heart too.
Yea man its nice to finally agree with you… Ha!
And Edgar had never faced anyone like Aldo
better hands? id argue that. boxing wise yes, but aldo has a WAY more varied attack. not to mention hes equally as fast as frankie or even quicker. his takedown defense is insane, and hes a brazillian champ in bjj. im a huge franke fan, but to say hes better than aldo everywhere is just insane. chad mendes is just as good of wrestler as edgar and he couldnt do anything with aldo. i absolutely believe that edgar COULD beat him, but those 2 are so closely matched that it could go 50-50 every time they fight
Agree Magoo….let’s try that more often. My bad for past disputes
No worries, we all have our own opinions and views on certain fights and fighters,I apologize for the personnel attack on you, I gotta get that shit in check … Lol
Aldo is a beast, Edgar won’t beat him. Edgar has won 1 of last 4 fights. Also is a good match up by size but give him zombie first to test division. Imo
he doesnt need to test a division…. nope
Edgar can surely take some kick. From Ben, but not with Aldo. Aldo’s kicks are just too damaging and the way edgar handles his last fight i don’t think he’s going to last 5 rounds with aldo. His cardio can’t help him if he gets crippled…and not to mention barao at 135. so holding 2 belts on these divisions might not be as easy as he said it would be…
