Based on that it’s probably Rick Story or Thiago Alves, since they’re the only ones not currently schedule to fight at the moment.
Dude Rick Story is expected to face Marin Kampmann at UFC 139 & Thiago Alves is suppose to face Papy Abedi at UFC 138! So really its not at all that clear, but hey heres not to say that DW & Joe Silva wouldn’t consider pulling someone already schedule to solve this dilemma!
Both of them are scheduled to fight in November. Thiago vs Papy Abedi and Rick vs Martin Kampmann. I think it will be Diaz.

Thats what I think too. Melvin is a good match up for BJ, Melvin likes fighting often and BJ has enough time to make the cut (not like he ever truly fights at 170 anyway)

this whole thing sucks for bj most of all. if condit is getting the shot then his fight with bj was the #1 contender fight and im sure bj would have won. basically bj lost a title shot because dana cant handle someone missing pointless press conferences
It’s his job, he was expected and booked to be somewhere, and he wasn’t, even his own coach said it was Diaz’s own fault this happened. Are you really going to back up the biggest douche in the game? If your job at where ever said you have to be at this place at 7 am sharp and you didn’t show? I’m pretty sure you would have consequences, this is the real world, not Nick Diaz’s “I do what I want world”. Press Conferences maybe meaningless but he knew when he took the match he would have to do them, I personally feel Diaz talked himself into a fight he can’t win.
Personaly i like Diaz but i will be disapointed in Danna if he gives him a fight now at all. This is a professional sport and the hospital and jail are about the only axcuses for blowin off your job. Diaz has made his name as mma bad boy now its time to be a man time will tell if he has any class at all. Good for you Danna the ufc is where it is because of decissions just like this no personality is worth sacraficeing the integrity and professionalism of the UFC

All I can say is thank god it’s not going to be Fitch I have NO interest in watching him fight. BJ’s an exciting fighter and I don’t want to see BJ fight Fitch again. I say match Fitch up against Anthony Johnson because I don’t think Fitch would be able to lie on to of Johnson for the whole fight. Johnson is a HUGE WW and he has good wrestling and could knock Fitch the **** out on the feet. I just want to see Fitch get knocked back down the ladder.
