VIDEO | Dana White Says he Will Not Honor Prescriptions from 'Dr. Reefer' | UFC NEWS
UFC President Dana White recently spoke with Inside MMA’s Ron Kruck about the UFC’s drug testing policy as it relates both to performance enhancing drugs and drugs of abuse.
“It was easy to put this card [UFC 146] together. It was hard keeping it together. … Here in the UFC, we take [drug testing] to another level. The guys who come onto The Ultimate Fighter are all tested, not just for performance enhancing drugs, but for everything. All guys who sign new contracts with us are all tested, and the government actually comes in and tests these fighters when they compete.”
Kruck asked White what he thought about fighters smoking marijuana.
“You know what I say. It is what it is. You go out and you smoke marijuana — it’s illegal. I don’t care if ‘Dr. Reefer’ gave you a prescription for it. There’s a whole fine line going on right now between ‘Oh, it’s legal. I need it for this; I need it for that.’ Here’s the one thing that I do know: You absolutely, positively cannot do it according to the rules of the Nevada State Athletic Commission. You can’t do it.
“There are rules, and you have to follow the rules. I don’t care how many lawyers you get or what happens, you cannot smoke marijuana. You cannot take PEDs. There’s a whole list of things that you cannot do, and if you get caught doing these things, you will be fined, and you will be put on suspension.”

I am 99% sure I saw one of his podcast where he says he gets high’d up before almost all comedy shows and fights that he does. Him being a huge advocate of weed and being high all the time really does not matter to Dana since the NSAC has nothing to do with anyone not fighting. It is pretty F’d up that you can have a Dr’s note for TRT but not weed. What a bunch of half wits….

yup, the AC sucks so much they should be investigated… I mean Diaz comes in for his hearing on marijuana metabolites and one of the first things the AC asks DURING is: ”What are metabolites?”…. WTF?! Then Diaz let’s his DOCTOR explain it, and they just shrug it off and give him his 12 month suspension, they already made their tiny minds up weeks before the hearing because the AC are a bunch of fkn morons who only care about money.
