VIDEO | Dana White Discusses Nick Diaz Marijuana Use | "It's Illegal"
“My stance on the whole thing is… it’s not allowed. You’re not allowed to do it. Whatever the commission says you’re not allowed to do, you’re not allowed to do. It doesn’t matter what I think,”

The trouble in the States is that society’s views on marijuana are very divided still and as a result the law favors the more conservative view. I’m not even talking about why its illegal or if it should be or not, but the simple fact that, as a whole, the US can’t agree on its legality to such an extent that the law could be changed any time soon.
Its unfortunate that something that could barely be considered performance enhancing, by virtue of its effect on the mentality of individuals, has resulted in such a long suspension for in a sport where a year can cause plenty of damage to someone’s career.
I think it was a mistake to drop nick for weed just let the man fight if he gets his ass wooped cause hes high that’s all on him and if he wins cause he was high i promise that’s all from fighting not cause he was stone Haha come on Dana im sure u smoke can’t be around Joe Rogan and not get high …
He wasnt dropped he got suspended for failing a drug test. Dana has no say in it. it is all nicks fault
well, gotta protect your brand
calls out every other sport hah
Of course Dana will agree with them hes as bad as a politician that flip flops on subjects. TRT is allowed but medical marijuana isn’t wtf? Atleast Marijuana doesn’t higher your testosterone levels just so a fighter can compete on the same level as others. If they say Marijuana is a performance enhancer they should ban everything that changes your body like protein shakes and all that bullshit. People back in the day didn’t need that shit. They ate healthy and did hard work. And they got beast without any sort of supplement.
LOL, oh dana.
As far as steroids go the NFL and other sports do random tests because you can beat the tests when you know they are coming and the date! You can have a clean system 10 days out and not lose the effects of the drug. That is proven. And there have been plenty of people in the Olympics and other sports who have been caught. But they all ban TRT because it is anabolic steroids!
As far as Nick goes, I think marijuana is not a performance enhancing drug, and how did he test clean before the fight but not after? But it is a banned substance so it is something he can be suspended for. But Dana is making statements that are not accurate about the whole TRT thing. The levels that a person in there 40′s are allowed for are the same as a 25 year old, and at the highest acceptable level. And it is not public.
The commision say its illegal ,but what you have to understand is its not illegal in california as long as its doctor prescribed theres a clinic on every corner in cali, and nick is from cali and I qm sure he has a card,so whats the problem he could smoke and stop smoking 2months prior to a fight and still test dirty!!!
The problem is that the commision doesn’t allow it. It doesn’t matter if it is legal or not. They could stop allowing bananas, and then fighter wouldn’t be able to eat them even though they are legal.
test joe rogan! haha
To me he seems torn on the issue. Despite what he says, the UFC/Dana are straddling between being a mainstream more family friendly sport and his own personal feelings that whether Nick smokes weed or not is his own business. The Athletic Commission doesn’t allow it therefore it’s an easy answer for Dana. Rules are rules and right now it’s not worth fighting the commission over something well known that is illegal. Diaz will be back once he gets bored.
get your facts right, the nsac allows it as long as the fighter is not high in the fight ” in competition” just because someone from the nsac said it is illegal doesnt make it so it has to be stated in the rule book which states only “in cometition” so it doesnt matter what he did as londg as he wasnt high while fighting and now nsac look like fools becuase nicks lawyer had to tell them what the rule book states so nsac is going to go all out because of it.
Bla DeBla aka henry Kobasky im sure you have some trolling to do
