Renato Laranja may be famous for stirring up trouble with UFC star Vinny Magalhaes, choking out BJJ legend Eddie Bravo, and discussing the mysteries of life with Joe Rogan – but he is also a truly accomplished grappler in case you might have missed it.

Renato is extremely popular in Canada, and if you don’t believe me you can ask the guy who saddled up next to him at the urinals and asked him for an autograph mid-stream. He is recognized at clubs, restaurants, and most likely public parks where one of his many baby mamas may have her little Laranja at.

Back in the states he is well known, too. In the southeastern part of the United States his name isn’t as prominent. He is looking to change that and has seminars scheduled there early next year as well as public appearances. The internet is still a luxury in some places and they might not have seen any of his viral videos. That’s understandable because baking possum pie takes at least half a day.
