VIDEO | Benson Henderson Doesn't See A Challenge In Edgar Rematch | UFC NEWS
UFC Lightweight Champion Ben Henderson is ready to take on former champion Frankie Edgar again at UFC 150 in Denver, Colo., on Aug. 11, 2012 after beating Edgar in a five-round decision when they last faced at UFC 144 in Saitama, Japan, on Feb. 26, 2012.
“How tough of a situation is this because basically you have to beat Frankie Edgar 2x to capture his belt?” asks Ron Kruck, Inside MMA
Ben Henderson:
“I don’t think it would be too difficult. I had a pretty fun time the 1st time we danced. I anticipate having a fun time also again the 2nd time we dance. Frankie has a good record in his rematches. My record in rematches are pretty good also – if they know that as well – I’m not too shabby in rematches….”
Kruck asked, “Let’s say that you lose to Edgar but you put on a great show. Do you then deserve a rematch?”
Ben Henderson:
“I’m not one of those guys to proclaim ‘Hey, I want this or I want that’ I don’t want to be one of those prima donna wide receivers. I’m the guy that goes out there and gets the job done. Doesn’t complain and does his work. I want to be like a Jerry Rice or a Larry Fitzgerald. I don’t want to be the prima donna wide receiver always complaining and moaning ‘I need this or I need that. I’m not gonna sign a contract until I get this.’ I just want to be one of those good guys that goes out there and gets the job done.”
Top contenders like Nate Diaz and Anthony Pettis will be watching to see who will come out on top.

Are you that ****ing stupid to think that Benson is taking Frankie lightly? He even says himself that Frankie comes back stronger and better in each of the rematches. He also says that he will keep an open mind as to what Frankie will bring to the next fight and that he will prepare for all possibilities. Benson is simply portraying confidence in his own abilities as all fighters should have.You probably didn’t even watch the entire video, but I don’t blame you, the headline is pretty misleading.

First off Diaz sucks ass and won’t ever beat either, and Pettis lost to Guida…so does that mean Guida would beat them both too? And I will say Henderson is strong and could win, but Edgar is too fast and needs to apply more wrestling for the win.

bendo is gonna roll in the 2nd fight just like he did in the first, he knows he has edgars number, hes too big and athletic for frankie.. anthony pettis will give bendo another tough fight but i think diaz would go down
I hope one of em puts the other one down for real. I like em’ both, but if Benson is right, the first fight was really kind of a “dance”. Minus that upkick, was a boring-ass fight. Hopefully we get some commitment this rematch.
