VIDEO | A Swollen JDS Says He Hurt His Face Against Cain Velasquez
“I’d like to thank all my fans who were rooting for me at this fight against Cain Velasquez. All the time my hands get hurt during the fight, but this time I go my face hurt. My hands are feeling 100 percent, but my face got a little [swollen this time], you know? It’s for sure because I lost. I think Cain Velasquez did an excellent job, so congratulations to him — he followed a good strategy. Now I’m going to go back home, fix everything and put everything in the right place. And I’m going to come back stronger than ever.”

I believe you will return stronger and better! Work your way up, again, and you’ll know for sure, you got this!
No he won’t Cain will just whoop him even harder
idiot.. his first loss, exactly what he needed, now hes gonna be a man possessed like cain was when he got his first loss. this rubber match is gonna be awesome and i dont think cain will “whoop” on him like u think.. thats just dumb as shit
soumds like your the idiot.this is his second loss
Good to see JDS is alright and obviously doesn’t have a broken jaw.
Humble in victory and more so in defeat, that’s what makes JR and Cain such great champions!
Very humble. Easy to like JDS and been a fan of his since his first UFC fight.
I feel bad for the next guy he fights.
Great Guy.
still, i would not say a little swollen…. that is a double sized JDS head :/
Humble. Great role model. Awesome Champion!!!
Great athlete is aways great, win or lose. Some others can learn from JDS.
his face has a swallow, or something like that.
I still love the guy he’s got mad heart and mad skills… I do believe he’ll be back and force to be reckoned with!
he is a force to be reckoned with now.
he went 5 rounds getting smashed in the face by an absolute unit and could have probably gone a few more
I like JDS,But he is a very good striker but not a good ground guy..He has alot of work to do if he ever wants to beat Cain..
Been a fan since he demolished Werdum and made me a lot of money that night. So i’m always going to be a fan of CIGANO.
Damn he looks a bit like Bigfoot now…
This man must be living right to have such a great view of life. Only a true champion can look at himself and laugh when he is down knowing that thus is life. I have mad love and respect for this person as being a good role model and a man…..win, lose .or draw I will be rooting for JDS! One love from the city of “NO” in central cali.
I have no doubt JDS will be back, he will be fighting Overeem for the belt after Overeem vs cain.
In every interview he has done since losing, he makes sure to give credit to Cain and praise the work he did. That is the definition of humble… Hard to dislike the guy.
What a Stud!
He’ll be back and I hope he gets to fight Overeem at some point.
im gonna pray tonight that i NEVER look like that after a fight :/ Poor guy, he looks like he’s not hurt too bad which is good.. kinda sucks we wont see Reem/JDS in a title fight but im sure they will meet sometime. I kept saying it before this fight and il say it again, before that fight Junior primarly faced grapplers, guys with subpar striking at best, and sure enough BLAM!!! Cain planted that right on his chin.. Im gonna tell ya, the JDS that faced Cain the other night would have been SLEEPING in the first round against the Reem monster. no doubt about it
Respect in defeat with no excuses..JDS class act…
Brown Pride is the huge shit I took this morning.
How can you not be a fan of JDS? True warrior that is man enough to congradulate and give props to the man that took his belt and kicked his ass in the process. Hope to see him back soon
Cain showed how mediocre JDS’ wrestling really is. You can’t just have take down defense. You need to have offensive wrestling to be the best in the UFC. Weidman will take over the middleweight division this year and Edgar will take down Aldo. 2013 is the year of wrestling domination in the UFC
i was with you untill you said
“Weidman will take over the middleweight division this year”
hmm ok then

ill try to remember that when Aldo KO’s Edgar to dust particles and Anderson finishes Weidman with a fart
The best take down defense most of these Brazilians have is to grab the fence!! lmao
Anyone know how BJ is doing?
