Uriah Hall vs. Chris Leben set for UFC 168 in Las Vegas

This morning, UFC officials announced that a middleweight bout between Chris Leben (22-10 MMA, 12-9 UFC) and Uriah Hall (7-4 MMA, 0-2 UFC) has been added to December’s UFC 168 in Las Vegas.

“The Crippler” finds himself in desperate need of a win, as he has lost 3 consecutive bouts and four of his last five overall. A cast member from the first-season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter”, Leben was last seen in action at UFC 162 in Las Vegas, where he suffered a close split-decision loss to Andrew Craig.

Leben’s lone victory in his past five bouts came way back at 2011′s UFC 132 event, where he scored a brutal first-round KO victory over PRIDE legend Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva.

Meanwhile, “The Ultimate Fighter Season 17″ finalist, Uriah Hall, will surely be looking to make a statement when he enters the cage at UFC 168. After dominating his first two opponents on ”TUF 17″, Hall has since suffered back-to-back losses inside the octagon. Those recent performances caused UFC President Dana White to question Hall’s heart as a fighter.

Hall’s latest effort came at the “UFC Fight Night 26″ event in Boston against John Howard. Unfortunately for fans of Uriah, the New York City native came out on the losing end of a split-decision that evening.

The loser of this middleweight match-up will likely be served their walking papers from the UFC, so expect both men to go for broke in this one.

UFC 168 takes place Decemer 28 live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is headlined by a rematch between Chris Weidman and Anderson Silva for the UFC’s middleweight title.
