UFC’s Chris Leben: I’m flat broke | UFC NEWS
“Yeah, I’m flat-out broke right now. Being broke sucks. It’s probably one of my biggest things where I just feel terrible. I feel terrible for having put my wife through so much and all because of the poor decisions that I’ve made. The year’s been hard. The year’s been a struggle. The only thing I can say is it’s already happened. It’s water under the bridge. The only thing I can do now is try to make sure it never happens again in the future and prepare for the future now.”
In a recent interview with mmamania.com, UFC middleweight fighter, Chris Leben talked about life after receiving a one-year suspension for a positive drug screening following his last fight.
“The Crippler” is set to return to action this December at UFC 155 for the UFC’s year-end show in Las Vegas. He will be facing Karlos Vemola in his return to action and apparently can really use that win bonus.
Anyone think he can succeed and dig himself out of this financial hardship with one solid “crippling” punch?

I like to watch Leben throw down but I don’t think MMA should be his only source of income. He could probably do movies or television with his personality and look.

he can do local advertising for car dealerships, get a loan to build his gym bigger and raise the prices.. He can make shirts..

As an obvious Leben fan, it really pains me to see him in these situations. He has that potential to do great but he just keeps f***ing up. Hopefully he is able to bounce back from all this.

Don’t know how his gym is doing, but he moved it from a really good location by the university to a side street by autobody shops. It also doesn’t help that the UFC GYM BJ Penn just opened not too far away. So far his fighters have been doing OK, nothing special though, they fight mainly on the other islands to avoid exposure or something. He’s definitely pulled out all the marketing stops on his gym with products and contracts.
