Maynard | "I Know I'm Going To Win." Against Guida

By Red Mattos:
While preparing for his next fight against Clay Guida, Gray “The Bully” Maynard got in a quick little workout against an undefeated “fighter”. Actually, he answered a few random questions by Fox News anchor, Jenn Fredericks.
She asked Gray if he thinks he’s going to win his fight against “that guy with weird hair”. His response: “I know I’m going to win. There’s no thinking about it.”
When asked about having to go all five rounds or ending the fight early, Gray prefers the latter, saying, “That’s always the plan, get it done real quick.”
She questioned what was going through his head after the nine second K.O. victory over Joe Veres back in 2007. “Wow, that’s the quickest payday I ever got. That’s a lot of money for nine seconds.”
He then talked about making weight and dropping the pounds. “I’m always eating healthy. But, the more you train the easier it [the weight] is to come off, so you slowly start to inch down.”
And then putting it back on. “I add on like 12 to 18 lbs. for the fight.”
Before they begin their “sparring session” Gray makes a request: “Don’t mess up the hair. It took me a long time to do it this morning.”
After a quick one-two combo on the pads she proceeds to pounce on him, smothering him with punches and elbows. She actually looked a lot like the Carpenter. Perhaps she is Gray’s secret training weapon. Then again, she did call it boxing. So probably not.
The fight takes place June 22nd at the Revel Casino in Atlantic City.

im pretty sure Gray only had fans in his recent fights because he was fighting edgar (who everyone hates because he beat BJ). now that those fights are done i think it is safe to say that no one really cares about the Bully.
Nobody like Gray Maynard, I’ll say it.
“That’s always the plan, get it done real quick.”
……. I suppose 3 rounds is “real quick” by Gray’s standards, shorter than his last two fights at least.
Jc do you even know mma. The bully is one of the best lw and always comes to fight!
by fight, do you mean snuggle?
Maynard talks like his a ****ing knockout artist but is a glorified Fitch . Shut the **** up bro u don’t know mma
Maynard talks like his a ****ing knockout artist but is a glorified Fitch . Shut the **** up bro u don’t know mma. Gray had 7 strait decisions in his run for the title the only person he can knockout is himself (but then act like he was still ok)
Gray is a beast idk what your talking bout
maynard is really a bully. he went in there with no respect for edgar power or boxing and paid the ultimate price. when gray gets to unload on someone else besides rocky, this time he will get the finish.
**** Maynard. His ass is going to get chocked out by Clay
Heeyyy **** you! Dumbass
Maynard is a beast.
yall trippin gray goes 2 hard and he’s going to smash clay no questions
Not a big fan of Maynard, rootin for the carpenter but his chances of winning are really slim!
Clay’s not an easy fight. The guy is relentless. If Gray loses by decision I won’t be surprised. Keep in mind I can’t stand Clays fighting style and bouncy tresses. Cut the hair dude.. Even Jesus got a haircut.
lol
Has Guida defeated any relevant fighters?
Not counting the time he laid on Pettis.
