Gray Maynard Opens As 3 to 1 Favorite Over Clay Guida

Gray Maynard will look to get back in the hunt for the UFC Lightweight title in June when he faces off with Clay Guida at UFC on FX 4.
Coming into the fight the odds makers have Maynard as the heavy favorite over Guida.
According to BetonFighting.com, Maynard comes in as a 3 to 1 favorite over Guida. Maynard currently sits as a -305 favorite while the comeback on Guida is set as a +235 underdog/
Both men are coming off of losses against the divisions top two Benson Henderson & Frankie Edgar. Maynard lost via TKO in his showdown with Edgar at UFC 136 this past October, Guida lost via unanimous decision in one of the best fights of the year at the UFC on Fox show last November.
Both fighters have a wrestling base, Maynard recently has been using his to keep the fight standing whereas Guida looks to take the fight to the ground and grind out victories.
Maynard moved camps leaving Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas and has trained with Nova Uniao in Brazil before settling in California with AKA.
The main event will be a five round fight where cardio could play a big part. Guida is known for his relentless pace and Maynard’s last two fights have gone more than three rounds.
Anything can happen in MMA, but is this line set right?

Maynard should win handily. But you just can never count out cardio freaks like Guida and Sanchez who can also take a beating and hang around in the fight.
