VIDEO | "The Reem" Episode 11 – The Good, The Bad & The Ugly | UFC NEWS

Alistair goes to Vegas for the UFC 146 press conference and has a media tour with champion JDS. After he arrives at his new place in Miami where everything is going fine, then all of a sudden some bad news comes in.

“I greatly respect the commission; I respect their decision. They come across as gentlemen and gentlewomen, very respectful, very understanding of the situation.”

“Basically, we’re going to be out for nine months, but I consider myself a clever guy. I’m going to get stronger from this, I’m going to keep training, and I’ll be back in nine months. I’m still going to get that belt.”

Unfortunately the latest installment of Overeem’s video series is not able to be embedded, but if you click the image above it will direct you to the show.

  1. Scotty says:

Anyone notice the lady in the commission seemed like she didnt want to give Overeem 9-12 months? Her facial expression when they were talking about length of punishment, she just seemed like it was to long and wanted it to be shorter.. Which i think it should have been since Sonnen only got 6 months..

    • Hjortur Halldorsson says:

I agree, it seemed like she wasn’t to happy about giving Overeem 9 months suspension. But just so you know Sonnen got 12 months

  2. MikeyT says:

I think the woman has been juicing.

  3. James says:

I seriously believe Ubereem would have beat JDS.

  4. Xaninho says:

The Scarface bit was pretty cool. He did play it smart with the commission.

But he’s a fucking dumbass for fiddling with the testosterone, whether he knew or not.

  5. Hjortur Halldorsson says:

I agree Xaninho the scarface bit was very cool.

I know there’s no point crying about it, but I’m still a little bummed out that JDS vs Overeem will not happen this weekend. I’m of course excited for JDS vs Mir but the fight against Overeem would have been epic.

    • Xaninho says:

Yeah I was looking forward to the JDS-Overeem fight since last year. I’ll still be watching JDS-Mir ofcourse, but with a little less anxiousness now.

Rooting for JDS this weekend, something about Mir doesn’t sit right with me. Maybe it’s his creepy smile….

      • Hjortur Halldorsson says:

Haha yeah you’re right his smile is something else.

Mir is very hard to figure out, sometimes I think he’s one of the most arrogant guys in MMA and sometimes he’s very classy and respectful.
