VIDEO | First Silva vs. Sonnen II Trailer | UFC NEWS

The trailer for “UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen II” was released just hours ago, and it gives the rematch even more of a “big fight feel” than it already had.

At UFC 117, Anderson Silva stepped into the octagon to defend his UFC Middleweight Title against top-contender Chael Sonnen. Knowing that numbers are only half the battle when it comes to being in the main event, Sonnen took almost every media appearance and trash talked his way into the hearts of millions of fans around the world. Either fans loved him or hated him with all their hearts, but one thing is for sure: Anderson Silva hated him. Silva wanted to put an end to this trash talk and embarrass Sonnen in the octagon as much as Sonnen embarrassed him on-air. What he walked into, however, was the toughest fight of his career.

Chael Sonnen dominated the first four rounds in impressive fashion and it seemed as if Chael had Anderson’s number. Whether it was grappling on the ground or standing and striking, Sonnen seemed to have the upper hand anywhere they went. If Anderson Silva didn’t adapt quickly, we would have seen a new champion in the middleweight division for the first time in almost seven years. Luckily for Silva, he slapped on a triangle choke/armbar submission hold that gave Sonnen no other option than to tap out. Crushed, Chael walked out of the ring fighting back tears and feeling dejected. Sonnen will get a second chance on July 7 2012 at UFC 148.

UFC 148 is set to take place on July 7 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen are set to main-event the card while Urijah Faber and Renan Barão will fight in the co-main-event for the UFC Interim Bantamweight Title.

  2. Xaninho says:

I thought Sonnen was going to show his trailer….

  3. GRT 3000 says:

no one has come even close…except one…hopped up on TRT at 17:1 and cheating his ass off, Chael Sonnen put the hurt on Anderson…then he was subbed. epic shit.

  4. Jp says:

Show his trailer??? the man lives in west linn oregon with all the other rich people….. lol what are you smoking?

  5. Jp says:

Hahaha no reason just making conversation : )

  6. 543534 says:

silva should be fighting yi long not sonnen.

  7. GET RID OF 6:1 BULLSHIT says:

I love how they’re trying to hide the fact that Sonnen was Roids on their first fight.

He testosterone ratio was 16.9 which is ridiculous and record breaking.

He’ll be on JUICE again on July and his gonna have 6:1 ratio which is really UNFAIR for Anderson.
But Sonnen will still get KO’ed in 2nd round.

    • Boogers says:

That’s complete speculation. Chaels ratio was high before because it wasn’t regulated. He took however much he wanted. The man has one testicle, in turn affecting his body’s testosterone production. His ratio is lower than 1:1 normally. He’s not boosting, he’s leveling the playin field.. Just because he’s using it doesn’t mean he’s going to be 6:1, that’s just what the NSAC allows. If he’s smart he won’t cut it that close this time. I don’t agree with 6:1, but I do agree with try for those who have NATURALLY LOW LEVELS. The reason they allow 6:1 is because some people have naturally HIGH levels, but no normal man will have a natural level over 6:1. For example, Rampage has a normal level but TRT “makes him feel better /younger” I don’t agree with that.

Rich people in west Linn what are you smoking im from Portland OR and let me tell you first hand west Linn is the toughest streets in the US come and see you know why sonnen says jujitsu is no good a street fight cause in west Linn if you put someone in a triangle his buddies will stomp you down or you will get stabbed or shot there are no fzre fights on the streets of west Linn.

    • Shawn says:

lol. But Sonnen won’t be fighting in West Linn, and he won’t have his buddies to help him. He’s gotta face Silva in a locked cage, on his own. His face will look like last time, and he’ll tap out like last time…that’s if he doesn’t get KTFO. 😉

  9. Shawn says:

    …and he’ll still beat you…AGAIN! lol
