UFC Vet Luke Cummo On The Run From Cops & Posting Video Blogs Through The Ordeal
Former UFC fighter, and current fugitive Luke Cummo (6-6 MMA, 3-4 UFC), has been on a run lately – and it isn’t the kind of run that will ultimately earn his way back into the cage, at least in the MMA world.
Cummo has allegedly sent his former wife threatening emails that have prompted authorities to search for the suspect. And while on the run, the “Ultimate Fighter” season 2 alumni has uploaded a series of YouTube videos and social media posts that have only served to aggravate the process.
Four days ago, on November 4th, Luke was informed of a warrant for his arrest stemming from a missed court date. During one of his posted videos, you can see the embattled fighter speaking with a deputy sheriff, letting him know of the issuance.
Later in the same video, he speaks to his father about the depressing circumstances, visibly upset about the loss of his children during an ongoing custody battle after his divorce. Cummo also references his upset with the idea that his children are being vaccinated without his consent.
A friend of Luke had this to say about his recent trials and how people are reacting to his evasion of police and the courts. “He’s acting stranger and stranger. If you see his Facebook, you can see some weird stuff. He still trains people, but a lot of his MMA brethren have stopped talking to him,” the friend, who wished to remain anonymous continued, “He quit fighting, lost his job with the UFC…he’s really losing it.”
Cummo has been associated with Serra Jiu-Jitsu and Ray Longo’s IMMA in the past, but there is no indication that he’s currently employed at either place as a trainer or fighter. And with everything happening currently, it isn’t likely he’ll be able to easily renew these personal or professional relationships in the near future.
Updates on his whereabouts and status in the courts will follow as more develops.
