UFC to Hold Memorabilia Auction to Benefit Troops | UFC News
The Ultimate Fighting Championship has always supported the troops throughout the years and now they are holding an online auction and the proceeds will go to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Funds and The National Intrepid Center of Excellence. The auction is live right now.
The items that are up for auction can be found at: www.ufcfightforthetroops.com. The Auction closes at 8 p.m. ET on Nov. 7. That is just one day following the UFC Fight for the Troops event on Fox Sports 1. Those who are not interested in bidding on the items in the auction can still support the cause by making a donation online or by calling: 1-877-747-HERO.
The UFC is auctioning things such as VIP packages to events, dinner with Dana White, a signed copy of the pilot episode of, “Sons of Anarchy,” a private training session with Anderson Silva, pair of framed gloves from current, UFC light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones, are also on the auction block along with many other items.
Many celebrities have stepped in to support the auction as well. The Red Hot Chili Peppers donated an autographed guitar, drumhead and album. While others like Rob Dyrdek, Tony Hawk and Jenni “JWOW” Farley also donated items to be auctioned off.
Alongside the UFC and several celebrities, many major league sports teams have made donations to benefit the troops. Prior to this auction and the event on FS1, the UFC raised upwards of $4 million in support of the troops.
