UFC on FX 8 Adds Alcantara vs. Vinicius, Dias vs. Gamburyan | UFC NEWS
Fight night will see Yuri Alcantara and Marcos Vinicius jockey for position in the UFC Bantamweight Division, as the two fight for a spot in the win column. Alcantara coming off a loss and a No Contest against Pedro Nobre due to illegal strikes to the back of the head, will be looking to get his first win in 2013.
Vinicius however will be looking to take that win for himself and bounce back from a disappointing knockout loss to Johnny Bedford back in December.
Manny Gamburyan will be looking for another win after his first in his last four fights back in August of 2012. Gamburyan will also be looking to prove that he still belongs in the UFC as the organization has been very vocal about their plans to make cuts.
Hacran Dias is coming in to extend an already lengthy streak to ten, and a name like Manny Gamburyan would look very good on his resume. Stepping in with only one loss, via desicion, in 23 fights Dias looks like a tall order for anyone in the Bantamweight Division.
The two bouts are set to take place on UFC on FX 8′s preliminary card as reported by SportTV.com.
