UFC on FX 5 Medical Suspensions Report | UFC NeWS


The governing body in Minnesota has issued mandatory medical suspensions to seven UFC on FX 5 fighters from last weekend’s event.

Team Alpha Male fighter, Danny Castillo received the lengthiest suspension and will be sidelined indefinitely until he can be cleared by doctors.

UFC on FX 5 took place last Friday, October 5 from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Full list of medical suspensions are as follows:

Travis Browne: suspended 30 days with no contact during training for 14 days for precautionary reasons
Jay Hieron: suspended 30 days with no contact during training for 14 days due to a laceration
Jussier Formiga: suspended 30 days with no contact during training for 14 days for precautionary reasons
Danny Castillo: suspended indefinitely until cleared by a neurological exam; regardless, suspended 60 days with no contact during training for 45 days for precautionary reasons
Diego Nunes: suspended 45 days with no contact during training for 30 days due to a laceration
Bart Palaszewski: suspended 45 days with no contact during training for 30 days due to a laceration
Aaron Simpson: suspended 60 days with no contact during training for 45 days for precautionary reasons
