UFC on FX 4: Maynard vs. Guida Venue Set

Yesterday we announced the UFC on FX 4 headlining bout between Gray Maynard and Clay Guida, however at the time of the report, all we had was a city and date.

According to a report coming out of pressofatlanticcity.com, the UFC has secured the 2.4 billion dollar resort of Revel, and their 5,500-seat entertainment arena to host the event.

The Revel resort opens to the public on April 2.

UFC on FX 4 is expected to go down in Atlantic City on June 22, however no official announcement has been made by the promotion and a venue has not been made public. The main event between Guida and Maynard is expected to be a five-round affair.

Guida hasn’t seen action since his UFC on FOX 1 defeat at the hands of newly crowned champion, Benson Henderson. The rabid fan favorite lost his chance at fighting Frankie Edgar with the Henderson loss and snapped a four-fight win streak in the process.

Maynard last saw the inside of a cage at last October’s UFC 136 event where he suffered his first official career defeat at the hands of Frankie Edgar. He has since left his home gym at Xtreme Couture and has sought training across the globe in various gyms including Brazil’s Nova Unaio and San Jose’s AKA.

The winner of this fight will find themselves near the top of a very stacked lightweight division.
