UFC On Fuel TV 8 Results: Yahya Grapples Way To Decision Victory Over Hirota | UFC NEWS
In the second main card bout, grappling sensation, Rani Yahya welcomed Mizuto Hirota to the UFC.
The first round was as expected, the frame showed Yahya using excellent offensive wrestling to take the fight to the mat and use his Jiu Jitsu to threaten with submissions over and over again. It was a clear winning of the frame for Yahya.
In the second, Yahya was again able to get the fight to the ground with ease where he held top position for the entire frame to again earn points to win another round.
In the third a fatigued Yahya found himself more in harm’s way than anything else. Hirota, full of energy, pressured the fight with some strong grappling of his own but wasn’t able to put the three-time BJJ world champ away.
Final Result: Rani Yahya def. Mizuto Hirota via decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
