UFC on FUEL TV 2 | Wisely In For Corassani Against Young, Izquierdo vs. Madadi Added

Some last minute additions to the UFC on FUEL TV 2 card have been made recently.

As we announced last week, Akira Corassani was stricken with injury and forced to withdraw from his scheduled appearance against Jason Young. After a brief search the UFC has now booked Eric Wisely in his place.

In addition to the Young vs. Wisely booking the UFC has also opted to add a lightweight bout between Yoislandy Izquierdo and Reza Madadi.

UFC on FUEL TV 2 is now officially set to take place at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden on April 14th. In the main event of the evening light-heavyweight fighters Alexander Gustafsson and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira will square off in a three-round matchup that is pivotal to the 205 pound division.

Young has much to prove in this late booking against Wisely. In a bout that likely determines his future with the promotion; he is in desperate need of a win after dropping consecutive bouts to Dustin Poirier and Michihiro Omigawa.

Young last saw action at UFC on FOX 2 where he suffered a calf-slicer submission defeat at the hands of Charles Oliveira. It was his UFC debut and as many before him he lost.

Izquierdo and Madadi will both make their UFC debuts against each other. Izquierdo was originally set to make his debut during the UFC on FUEL TV 1 event but contract disputes with his former organization kept him out of action. For Madadi, he was supposed to make his UFC debut during the UFC on FX 1 event but was forced off the card with an injury. Both fighters have had strings of success on the regional circuit to earn UFC contracts.

The latest UFC on FUEL TV 2 is as follows:

Alexander Gustafsson vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira
