UFC on FOX 8 Medical Suspensions Released Today
There is a laundry list of fighters who are getting a minimum of three months worth of medical suspensions after this past weekend’s UFC on Fox 8.
The Washington State Department of Licensing, which oversaw Saturday’s event, released the medical suspensions to MMAjunkie.com.
UFC on FOX 8 took place July 27 at KeyArena in Seattle. The night’s main card aired on FOX following prelims on FX and Facebook.
Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson submitted challenger John Moraga in the main event. Moraga received a suspension of 180 days unless he is cleared by a doctor prior to that. Regardless, he will be shelved for 30 days.
All 24 fighters on the card received at minimum Washington’s standard seven-day suspension.
Other fighters who got 180-day terms unless they are cleared prior to that are Bobby Voelker, Michael Chiesa, Danny Castillo, Mac Danzig, Herman, and Aaron Riley, who announced his retirement after the fight.

Jake Ellenberger: Suspended seven days

Bobby Voelker: Suspended 180 days unless cleared by doctor, otherwise suspended 60 days
Liz Carmouche: Suspended seven days
Jessica Andrade: Suspended 45 days unless cleared by doctor, otherwise suspended 30 days
Jorge Masvidal: Suspended seven days
Michael Chiesa: Suspended 180 days unless cleared by doctor, otherwise suspended 30 days
Danny Castillo: Suspended 180 days unless cleared by doctor
Tim Means: Suspended seven days
Melvin Guillard: Suspended seven days
Mac Danzig: Suspended 180 days unless cleared by doctor, otherwise suspended 60 days
Daron Cruickshank: Suspended seven days
Yves Edwards: Suspended seven days
Ed Herman: Suspended 180 days unless cleared by doctor
Trevor Smith: Suspended indefinitely until cleared by a doctor, otherwise suspended 42 days
Germaine de Randamie: Suspended indefinitely until cleared by a doctor, otherwise suspended 30 days
Julie Kedzie: Suspended seven days
Justin Salas: Suspended 45 days
Aaron Riley: Suspended 180 days unless cleared by a doctor, otherwise suspended 45 days
Yaotzin Meza: Suspended seven days
