UFC on FOX 7 Drug Tests Return Clean

All six drug tests submitted to the California State Athletic Commission following the seventh edition of “UFC on FOX” returned clean, as publicized by the CSAC yesterday.

The Commission required the event’s four headliners and two other randomly chosen athletes to go through the process. Thus, Benson Henderson, Gilbert Melendez, Daniel Cormier, Frank Mir and a couple of unidentified fighters passed the examination.

The tests look for the existence of any anabolic steroids, performance enhancing drugs or drugs of abuse (such as marijuana) in the athletes’ organisms.

“UFC on FOX 7″ happened on April 20th at the HP Pavillion in San Jose, California. Benson Henderson defeated former Strikeforce title holder Gilbert Melendez to retain his lightweight belt. Daniel Cormier also edged out a decision over fellow heavyweight Frank Mir as the co-main event.
