"UFC on FOX 3: Nate Diaz vs. Jim Miller" | Is This Fight Of The Year? | UFC NEWS

By Chase Raymond:
On May 5th 2012 In the IZOD Center in New Jersey we will bear witness to UFC on FOX 3: Diaz vs. Miller. Even though this main event match up between Nate Diaz and Jim Miller will not get the same amount of attention leading up as the Jones vs. Rashad fight did; it will definitely not miss out on excitement. This main event is a guaranteed blockbuster fight with two real deal MMA fighters.
Nate Diaz has back-to-back impressive victories since his return to the lightweight division. In his latest victory against Donald Cerrone at UFC 141 Nate set the CompuStrike record with 82% of his strikes landing. He recently received his black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from Cesar Gracie. Nate Diaz has three “submission of the night” awards and also five “Fight of the Night” awards.
Jim Miller has only lost twice since joining the UFC, once to Gray Maynard, and the other to current lightweight Champ Benson Henderson. Miller also has three “submission of the night” awards and one “fight of the night” award. The fight will be about an hour and thirteen minutes from where Jim grew up in Sparta Township, N.J.
This is going to be a great showcase for all the new fans off MMA as well as the long time fans when they watch two of the purest MMA fighters in the world. With six combined “Fight of the night” awards what is left? Could there be a “fight of the year” award in their future? There have been rumors that the winner will be next in line for a light heavyweight championship match, getting one of these fighters closer to their ultimate goal of being the best in the world.

this fight it´s gonna be sick and awesome there are too many things to fight for, and both are incredible fighters…. i don´t know if it´s going for a fight of the year but definetly it´s going for “fight of the month”… I think Diaz will win by sub… call me crazy but that´s what i think it´s going to happen…
They are both great exciting fighters but there skills will cancel out each other leaving only wrestling. I think Jim miller uses his double leg all day. I think this fight may not be as exciting as some people think, so itll fit in well with the fox cards
i think Diaz will win also. i just dont see anywhere Jim is gonna be better than Diaz other than wrestling cause Jim is prob stronger than Diaz is.
JEEZ, how can people even talk about that kind of title before the fight even HAPPENED???
+1 there is a chance Miller might wrestle Diaz all 5 rounds lol
Light heavyweight title ????
I know right
Should be epic millers wrestling vs Diaz’s jits
Jim is definatly stronger. Diaz is pretty week we found that out when he got shit on by macdonald but nates gotta keep it standing and hell pull out a decision victory. Nate wins by decision or miller by submision
