He’s very lucky to have Anderson to call on in this situation because Cung Le is the one of the greatest strikers of all time but if you’ve seen his many San Sho bouts it’s his suprising clinch wrestling strength and techniques that will really overwhelm Wanderlei… I’m SO very Happy to finally have Cung Le in the UFC where he belongs and I really hope for the sake of great fights that we see him fight Anderson because of the interesting dynamics of the match up

i agree 100% about him being a really good striker but Cung Le will have to beat some extremely tough fighter to get to AS and the fact that his chin has failed before and with his age im a little skeptical but it would be a fun fight.

I like Cung Le but I love Wanderlei. I hope The Axe Murderer KO’s Le the good ol fashioned Pride way. It sucks that Vitor got hurt and had to pull out of this fight with Le because that would have been a perfect matchup. Oh well, Wandy is still very dangerous and if he fights the way he’s being trained he’ll likely pull off a win. The problem I see for him is that Le is so technically proficient, he’ll take advantage of any openings Silva leaves him. As we all know, Silva is a wild type of fighter who leaves many openings. I hope Silva decides to focus on technique to see what Cung does then go ape s**t when the opportunity presents itself.

You really couldn’t gloat about that one because Hendo didn’t “put it on” Shogun in any way. That fight coulda easily been called in Shogun’s favor. In fact, most of the guys at the Hooters I went to who were cheering for Hendo started to walk out before the result of that fight was announced because they thought Hendo lost. I actually agree with you, though. It was two warriors giving it their best, but Shogun is not old.

With that wide open stance, Silva, who is one of the best strikers in the game, would pick him apart. As far as his wrestling goes, judging from what I saw tonight, that doesn’t even seem to be a factor any longer. I don’t think Hendo will be getting a UFC belt in this lifetime
